This August, I am delighted to acknowledge and celebrate National Black Business Month, a time dedicated to recognizing and honoring the significant contributions of Black entrepreneurs and businesses to our local economy and beyond.
At the HCEDA, we firmly believe in the power of diversity and inclusivity as driving forces for economic growth and community development. Over the past month, in collaboration with County Executive Calvin Ball, the HCEDA team has actively engaged with the community, visiting Black-owned enterprises to commemorate this special occasion. Most recently, we had the distinct privilege of engaging with businesses that proudly hold membership within the MIC community. We celebrated their exceptional contributions and entrepreneurial excellence.
HCEDA is proud to provide resources and opportunities that support small, minority businesses and entrepreneurs, which are critical to Howard County's economy.
