Business Perspectives Requested on Electric Vehicle Charging |
|
Howard County leads Maryland in EV ownership and in December 2023 Howard County became the first jurisdiction in Maryland to endorse the “Charge@Work” pledge, a U.S. Department of Energy-funded initiative to increase workplace EV charging.
Howard County Government is working to increase EV charging stations on public and private property across the county. As part of this effort, Howard County’s Office of Community Sustainability (OCS) seeks to gauge the business community’s interest in adding on-site chargers for employees and/or the public. Howard County business owners are encouraged to participate in this online EV Charging Interest Survey. No account is required to respond to the survey.
For County residents, OCS is also forming a “Clean Miles Club” networking group of current and prospective EV owners to:
- Share EV-related successes and challenges with the County
- Learn about upcoming EV events, partnerships and funding opportunities
- Discuss ownership considerations and best practices
Current and prospective EV owners can request to join the Clean Miles Club here. |
