The Howard County Fair Association is once again investing in the future of agriculture and youth leadership by offering up to six $2,000 educational scholarships to eligible students. These scholarships are intended to support individuals with strong ties to the Howard County Fair and demonstrated commitment to the 4-H or FFA programs.
Applicants must be current or former members of Howard County 4-H or FFA and must have participated in the Howard County Fair. Students should be pursuing education in agriculture, home economics, or a related field such as plant or animal science, veterinary studies, child development, business or trade programs. High school juniors and older are encouraged to apply, though past scholarship recipients are not eligible.
Applications must be delivered to the Howard County Fair Office by 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2025—the final day of this year’s Fair. Scholarship winners will be recognized at the Howard County Fair Stockholders’ Dinner in October. For full details, interested students should contact the Howard County Fair Office or visit the University of Maryland Extension’s Howard County 4-H page. |
